Whoops! Time is just flying by. It’s that time of year I guess.

Last Saturday I shared a market stall with a couple of friends - Ruth and Jess. We had a spot at the Gorman House Markets (here in Canberra) and we also sold a few things from our friend Rachel, who couldn’t make it on the day.

Since there were four of us represented, we had a lot of stuff and a double-wide stall plus a rack of clothing and one for bags.

I haven’t done a market since finishing with Old Bus Depot Markets about 2 years ago, and I have to say that Gorman were a whole lot more relaxed in their admin and organisation of stall holders, not to mention a lot cheaper to get a stall. It was also really great to be there with a few friends to chat to instead of being on your own.

We are going to do at least one more market at Gorman before Christmas - on Saturday 1st December. I am also going to try Bus Depot again and I’ve got a stall booked for this Sunday so if you’re in Canberra I’d love you to come and say hello. If all goes well, I will do a few more (Saturday) markets at Bus Depot before Christmas too.

It was a little quiet at Gorman last Saturday but I know once December comes, people will start panicking about gift buying! That can only be good for all those of us making little lovelies.

These photos show our (combined) stall with kid’s clothing, hats, accessories, jewellery, cards, handbags, vintage wallpaper packs etc from me. Rachel had jewellery and beaded Christmas ornaments. Ruth had cross stitch, crochet, bags (refashioned from cargo pants) and Jess had button jewellery, vintage patterns and aprons and covered notebooks.

Hope to see you on Sunday at Bus Depot! Cross fingers for the right outcome at the election tomorrow too.
