thrifty happy
Happiness is a day of browsing at the thrift stores, with a little visit to the fabric shop for good measure.
My thrifting loot for the day included a huge roll of (unfolded) bias tape, a bunch of zippers in various colours and sizes, some long shoe laces, a 1/8th inch quilting ruler, a lovely pale green crochet belt, a green printed silk scarf and very best of all - a really super duper cute pair of nearly new pink sneakers for Emma. All for $7.00, gotta love it.
From the fabric store, some bottle green fleece to make something for Jack and some cute pink printed jersey for Emma. I was very restrained, picking out several other things and then reluctantly putting them back on the way to the checkout. Well done, me.
Oh, and I’m off to the movies tonight with my sister - we don’t get out very often so we thought it was about time! We are going to see Running with Scissors at the new(ish) Dendy in town.

Hey Jen, how’s it going? You’ve managed to update every day since 12 March - you’re on a roll here! I managed consecutive daily updates (on the disassociated.com “blog”) for about six weeks from last Boxing day thru to early Feb… fun… but *hard* work. I’ve been discovering the joys of Wordpress in recent months also… should have done it years ago!! Hope all is well
