I had some fun today. I needed to go out to Spotlight to get a zipper and maybe a pattern if they were on sale and maybe even some fabric for a new shirt.  That was all I went out for.  You know what’s coming, don’t you? That little zipper turned into something a bit bigger - I came home with two bags of stuff. oops. I didn’t buy just anything though, I did think about things and put some things back. When I told my husband this he said “yeah I can see that” but really I did.
I like to go to the Vinnies on the way to Spotlight because they often have sewing notions and things there. I was in luck - someone had been cleaning out their stash. How could I pass up all this lovely ribbing?

Some great colours - a few brights and some great naturals. I’m loving the naturals right now. Also at the thrift store I found all this:

Lots of zippers, some bias binding, ribbon, thread, trim. Good haul. Then it was off to the fabric store itself where I got a few more lovelies:

Actually that top fabric I received in the mail today from Quilt Fabric Delight - I love it! I also got some of that Insul-Bright batting from them so that I can finally make some pot holders and oven mitts. The other fabrics in the stack above were from Spotlight. The naturals are for some upcoming projects and the green floral is for a shirt for me.

I spent the afternoon working on the prototype bag for the wholesale order that I mentioned yesterday - not quite done but it will be finished in the morning.
