Did you realise that this is the 33rd day in a row that I have posted now? Back on the 12th of March I said I would do this for 21 days to get into the habit and it did work, cos I’m still doing it. I have found it really very helpful in taming my inner procrastinator, but sometimes I do wish I had done something a bit more blog-worthy for the day, or even better, that I had made something that I could show off.

There was no making today, but there was a bit of buying. Oh, it was good.

Recently we organised to have our home loan, house extension loan and credit cards refinanced. In case you don’t know, that means that they all get rolled into one loan and of course, you can look around for a better deal at different banks while you are at it. We got a hugely better deal, and it all came through yesterday. I think we will end up paying about $800 per month less than we were before. I know, it really made us wish we had gotten around to it earlier, but no time like right now.

The first thing we are going to do is finish our kitchen renovation (stalled for over a year now) which involves painting the very dark brown and ugly fake wood cupboards (a lovely pale blue) and getting a new benchtop and new splashback tiles (blue again) and we can’t wait. It will look so much better.

We also bought a new tall lamp today for the loungeroom and new bedside lamps for Paul and I. Sorry no photos of any of this - slack blogger!

I do have a photo of a gorgeous girl though, again in stripes:

Tomorrow morning I am being picked up at 6am (that is SO early!) and driving up to Sydney to go to my cousin’s wedding then catching a bus back with my sister that night. So probably no blogging tomorrow. I know that I am breaking my 33-day record but it’s okay, I’m okay with that.
