My Colourful Life

Today I did a “leftovers collage” for my Analog Artlog.  I was inspired by the wonderful collages from Kristin of Sweden - see this, this or this for inspiration.  Kristin says that while at a friend’s place “I always bring a collage book and a glue stick, so it came to my mind I could ask them if I could look through their paper recycling bag. So, while talking and listening, I make a collage out of what I find in the bag - magazines, bags, notes, messages, anything they might have thrown away. It’s not only a throw away collage but also a memory from an evening spent at a friend’s place.”

So using only these:

I cut some bits up and stuck them in my journal:

then i added some watercolour paint, crayons and journalling to end up with this:

My leftovers collage “A Colourfull Life” and today’s Analog Artlog piece.

[...] Thanks Jen Had one of those moments when you just know you’ve seen something that’s going to make a big difference in your life. Was looking at Jen’s blog (I really gotta cut down on my blog reading time, it’s getting ridiculous. Wonderful, but ridiculous.) and saw her visual diary/collage book.I have got to try that. I’m not one for journals, despite this blog, but this I just have to do.It’s a bit weird. English was always my thing at school, but now I look back and realise that I really connect with the world through art and design. Wish I’d understood that many many years ago.The photo is just for your gratuitous viewing pleasure. Because there are times when even socks hanging on the washing line can be Art. [...]
