more spots

You know, I do like spots. I like dots. I like spots and dots. I like them on dogs and on fabric. Lucky really, because we have more chicken pox in the house.
Yes, this crazily artistic (ahem…) photo is Jack’s back today. He came up in a million spots this morning - way more than Emma ever had. You might remember Emma had the “chicken pops” about 2 1/2 weeks ago. She only ever had about 10 or so on her back and the same on her chest and a few on her face and in her hair. Jack has got stacks of them, all over the place.
I count 33 in this photo, and that’s not counting the ones that are obscured by my brilliant artistic effort. And that’s not counting the hundreds of new ones that are probably popping up right now, as he sleeps.
So far, he seems fine though. He is excited to be staying home next week with me and Emma - he is hoping for lots of Playstation, computer and TV action. I was hoping to get lots of sewing done next week. I guess we’ll both see how we go.
There’s still a chance that I could come out in them too. Ack, I hope not.

Oh I do not envy you! I had them so mildly as a kid that I am afraid that when Hali gets them I will get them again! I remember not really feeling bad at all, but a bit itchy for sure! How selfish am I that I am all “me, me, me” when it’s the kiddo getting chicken pox that I should be worries about?!

Oh the joy of the pox/pops! The fun bit is trying to stop them scratching the scabs off and leaving craters on their perfect skin. Here’s hoping the pox stays away from you and that you can get back to the fabric frontline. Will you be using polka dots
I like your pen marks: it would make an interesting tattoo…
