It’s so bloody HOT!!!

It’s so bloody HOT right now and it’s so hard to work in this hot house! We have all the blinds and windows shut against the harsh sun and so it starts to feel like you are trapped. If you think it’s hot inside you only have to venture outside for a minute to see how oppressive it is out there.
Here in Australia it is school holiday time - the kids get six weeks off school over Christmas and January. The kids actually aren’t doing too badly, considering they are cooped up inside most of the time. It’s the adults that are really suffering!
You know what else REALLY annoys me??? Coles have got their shelves full of Easter Eggs already! Can you believe it? I still haven’t taken down my Christmas decorations and they are pushing Easter on us.
Anyway I’m taking the kids off to a shopping centre so that we can escape to the cool for a little while. That should be fun! ![]()

Wish we could trade weathers for an afternoon. Its rained here for 23 days, plus cold and windy. Feels like I’m never going to be able to take a decent photo in my house ever again! Hope you cool off!

Hi! I so hear you with the heat issue. Im suffering major. when I was young my dad would often take us to a shopping centre when it was hot so that little comment in your blog made me smile. Another thing he would get us to do is put on swimmers, have a cool shower and air dry… soooo nice… Love your blog btw, have a cooler day

Blair - that sounds awful too. Although we could do with some rain - maybe not 23 days in a row! Hope it dries off soon.
Melissa - the fun part is that the air conditioning in the shopping centre was playing up so it wasn’t even very cool in there. I have come home more hot and bothered than when I left, thanks to the two little ones bothering each other and me the whole time! groan…
