My submission for this week’s topic at www. illustrationfriday.com - NIGHT. Trying to get to sleep at night but you can’t stop thinking about what you need to be doing tomorrow. Dreaming about your to do list…

You know I thought I couldn’t draw but I seem to be developing some kind of style here. Maybe??? What do you think? Please leave me a comment as I am new to this and would love the feedback. ![]()

Yes, very nice. Shows that the subject of \’night\’ doesn\’t have to be about dark and gloomy colors. Expressiveness in your lines. I enjoy Illustration Friday, but there are so many submissions to see. I\’m spending way too much time surfing from one to the next.

I typed in the wrong number and it erased my comment - here goes again. I hope it doesn’t post 2x.
Don’t worry about a style just keep on drawing. I find when I start thinking about “my style” I freeze up. the key is not to stop, the more you draw the better you’ll get. I can say this because I’m a little obessed with drawing. I think you have to be to be good at anything. It helps to love what you’re doing too. And I was at your store site and those bags are lovely. Not that’s style! I’ll be back to look at your next drawing.
And thank you very much for your comment. It really is very encouraging.

Very nice to show night as a time for contemplation rather than the time dakrness and smoke. I wouldn’t worry about style–when its ready, it will be there.

I agree with Twisselman - night doesn’t always have to be about, well, night. I love this idea - this is SO what I do nearly every night when I turn in - with work on my mind. You know what helps…writing down what you have to do the next day.
Nicely done! And thanks for stopping by.

So true. Nighttime’s usually when everything comes into focus and then we go crazy trying to get all our thoughts and plans in order.
