I made this

I finished the shirt that I cut out the other day! It was Burda 8516 and it went together quite well.

It’s probably going to be a little cool to wear this right now but maybe we will get some more sunny days before Winter really kicks in. I can also wear it over something warmer, at least for a little while.

I made View A with a couple of changes - the most obvious being that I put elastic at the wristband (I also shortened the sleeves a little) and left out the long trim at the front.

Here is a pic from the Burda site:

I always get such a feeling of accomplishment when I sew something for myself. :)

looks great! I made a shirt for myself from variant B of this pattern a few years ago, and would like to make another one for this summer… let’s see if I manage to ;)

What a cute top! One of these days I’ll have to take the plunge with a burda pattern. They always seem to take a little extra work to figure out, though. I did buy a big wide roll of tracing paper recently to help with tracing patterns to get them on the right size of paper.

Your’s looks great! The free download is only version 1 of your pattern. How did you find sewing in the elastic? I didn’t even bother with it. It’s amazing how you can make one pattern look so different by using different fabrics and changing certain things.
