I got lucky!

Hold the presses - this is such exciting news! Well, not really. It does follow on from yesterday’s whinge about not being able to find any new birthday clothes though so it is relevant. 
Yesterday my sister and her family got me a voucher at a shopping centre. Today my sister and I traipsed all around the place while I was having flashbacks of yesterday’s disaster - you remember, too old, too daggy, too stay-at-home-mum to find any new clothes for my birthday present. And then…
I got lucky at Big W. I know, think of the traffic that little phrase will bring in.
For $50 (the amount of my gift voucher) I got a new top, a cord skirt and some ugg boots. And don’t I just look lovely? You should have seen the shots from the photo shoot that got rejected! I got my husband to take some shots of me in my new gear and after each photo I would grab the camera and look at the digital display and then tell him to do another one and THIS time make me look like a model!
Hooray for chain stores. They make clothes cheap enough, yet still rather stylish, for stay-at-home mums.
