I didn’t know I was an artist
I didn’t know I was an artist but I am really glad I found out.
The words say:
Here I am again making art every day! Really making art and really making it every day! You know, I didn’t think I was an ARTIST because I can’t draw. Art is so much more than drawing someone’s likeness. Why didn’t I learn that in school? Why didn’t I have more confidence in my (creative) self way back then - at least I am discovering it now. I really believe that as well as confidence in my creative self, I really lacked TECHNIQUE - the SKILLS to make it happen and the CONFIDENCE to try.

Love your first collage, and your arty entry in your journal! Go girl, go!
Gorgeous entry in your art journal. I can relate to the feelings of i don’t know… inadequacy? as an artist because of the inability to draw. And even despite my learning to understand it’s not just about that, I still feel I have a ways to go. An art journal sounds like a really nice idea and I have a few books I want to pick up that deal with that topic. But your blog is great because I find it really fun to look at and watch your style evolve. You seem to get bolder and more confident every time. Go you! It’s great fun to watch.
YES! You certainly ARE an artist! I love your pages, they are wonderful. =)
