I would love to get into sewing clothes, but I have such trouble finding patterns I like, and then when I start trying to sew jersey type fabrics it just ends up going completely wrong and out of shape for me.

hi, I too just made the McCalls 5469, version B. I made a size 16 since I have a 38 bust, it was waaay too big! I then made the 12-14, and widened the sleeves (I have big upper arms), in a muslin. it is suitable to wear! Maybe I will add some rick rack since it is plain white. I then made it in a paisley cotton. I am going to try it in a knit and widen the neck band like you did, thanks for the tip! Approximately how much did you shorten the neck band? Thanks, gingerB
