Chocolate Bunnies!

Hi! Are you a new or recent visitor to my blog? I hope you stick around and have a bit of a read. To make it easier to keep up to date with new content, please subscribe to my RSS feed. Of course, feedback is always appreciated and leaving a comment is a great way for me to come and check out your site.

I have just made my first ever purchase from etsy! I first saw these delicious looking bunny softies on Jek’s flickr photos a while ago and I have loved them ever since. I finally caved to my need to have these and bought a couple tonight. They have been printed using the gocco and come packaged in a plastic box or wrapped in cellophane just like the real thing!

I am buying one each for Jack and Emma for Easter and I can’t wait to see them in person! Get yours here.

Good Book Day!

Today I had a good book day - unlike yesterday.

First there was a mysterious and intriguing parcel on my doorstep:

Japanese Books 1 Japanese Books 2

Then I opened it and I was very excited!

Japanese Books 3 Japanese Books 4

My order from Amazon Japan had come at last! I’m afraid I went a little bit crazy the day I ordered them. I’ve now got 7 (count ‘em) beautiful new Japanese crafting books:

Weeeeeeeee! More pics here.

Denyse Schmidt puts out a fabric line!

Thanks to Gina at Quilter’s Buzz for the heads up: modern quilter Denyse Schmidt (oh, how we all love her!) is releasing her own fabric line, due out in May. The line will be called “Flea Market Fancy” and will be distributed by Free Spirit who also distributes used to distribute the equally gorgeous Amy Butler fabrics - I think she may give Amy a run for her money!

Here is a sneak peak of Denyse Schmidt’s new fabrics:

Also, a great new tool for those of us using Firefox. Yes, this now includes me. I really am getting around to trying lots of new computer-y things aren’t I? The fact that this new Amazon search tool is only for the Firefox browser was all it took for me to download Firefox to check it out.

Anyway here is some info from Make Write, found via Crafting Japanese:
If you’re a Firefox user, there’s a great new tool available for searching Amazon. How on earth is this relevant to crafty types? Well, given the understandable fascination with super-cute Japanese craft, the fact that this tool searches ALL the Amazons, including Amazon.co.jp, is pretty handy.

Go here for more info and to download it.
