hi there, I’m Jen Leheny.  Welcome to my website – this is a place for me to showcase all of the things I’ve created over the years.

Since August 2009, I’ve been busy running my own business, Red Instead.  I worked in the graphic and web design industry before I had my children and I realised that I really wanted to get back to it, after going in a different direction for many years.  Up until that time, I was at home with the kids for 8 years and running a handmade business (sewing handbags, printing cards, etc)  for 6 years of that.  At the end of 2009, I wound up the handmade business and relaunched Red Instead as a graphic and web design business.  My business is doing really well and keeping me very busy – part of the reason why this blog has had to take a back seat.

This website has been going since October 2005, though I took a break of about 18 months just recently.  I needed to refocus and think about what I wanted this website to become, as it just wasn’t working for me the way it was.  So this is the new design and I hope you love it!

I live in Canberra in a house that I really enjoy and a garden that needs lots of work.  I have a million things I want to do but not enough time.  I am learning to pace myself, manage my time and work out my priorities and goals.
