cosy and lazy

I think it must be the cold. Brrrr… definitely Winter now. The cold is making me feel so lazy at night now. All I want to do is snuggle under the quilt my mum made me and watch a bit of telly. I keep meaning to get myself organised and get into some embroidery while I am sitting there, but it hasn’t happened yet. Too lazy, I tell you!
I have decided that while I am feeling like this I will just go with it (though I must pull my finger out on the embroidery front) so I thought that I had better stop slacking and get more done in the daytime to make up for the lazy nights. The weather has been quite nice during the days, mostly anyway. Canberra often has lovely Winter days, crisp and cold in the morning and then some sun to brighten things up by late morning. By 4.30pm it is beginning to get cold and we close the house up (blinds and curtains) and snuggle in for the night.
So, sorry, not much crafting to share lately - blame it on the weather! Not to mention about five weeks of back-to-back sickness in this family. Chicken pox, colds, more chicken pox, more coughs and colds, and on it goes. Maybe that’s why I am feeling the need to take it easy, switch my brain off, enjoy the quiet and cosy up under the quilt.
No snow around these parts, but cold nonetheless. Happy Winter to you. And Happy World Environment Day.
