Circles on Canvas

Hi! Are you a new or recent visitor to my blog? I hope you stick around and have a bit of a read. To make it easier to keep up to date with new content, please subscribe to my RSS feed. I did these last week. They turned out quite well. Do you think I should sell them on eBay? If you are interested in buying them for a bargain price then leave me a “comment” below.

Vintage Fabric Find

I found this great fabric on the weekend. I thought it would look good made up into one of my new bags. I also wondered about a dress for Emma?

Flowers on Canvas

Here is a canvas I did - one of my very first ever. I was really only playing around but my sister liked it so much she put it on her wall!

Farm Animals

Okay I know that to a “real” artist this is pretty basic stuff but keep in mind that until a few weeks ago I didn’t even know I wanted to get into paints and illustration. I’ve always done computer stuff (mostly with photographic images though so illustration is a new process) but hadn’t really thought I could do any paintings. I hadn’t even really thought about it before to be honest. Not for a long time anyhow.

Anyway in the $2 shop I found these little canvases that had an image preinked on them and it included some acrylic paint tubes and a picture so that you had an idea of the colours to use. I was pretty excited when I finished this and it looked really good! After the paint had dried I outlined the images and words in black marker pen and it made a huge difference.

These are now up in my new baby niece’s room and my sister says she loves to look at them while she is on her change table. :)
