Okay I know that to a “real” artist this is pretty basic stuff but keep in mind that until a few weeks ago I didn’t even know I wanted to get into paints and illustration. I’ve always done computer stuff (mostly with photographic images though so illustration is a new process) but hadn’t really thought I could do any paintings. I hadn’t even really thought about it before to be honest. Not for a long time anyhow.
Anyway in the $2 shop I found these little canvases that had an image preinked on them and it included some acrylic paint tubes and a picture so that you had an idea of the colours to use. I was pretty excited when I finished this and it looked really good! After the paint had dried I outlined the images and words in black marker pen and it made a huge difference.

These are now up in my new baby niece’s room and my sister says she loves to look at them while she is on her change table. ![]()
